1. Who we are

renovations.at ("we", "us") operates a renovation-quote matching service for Australian homeowners. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

Browsing the site requires no account and sets no cookies; we run no analytics or advertising trackers. We collect only what you submit through the quote form: your name, phone, email, project details, property suburb/state and budget band.

3. How your enquiry is used — the important part

Your enquiry is shared only with the renovators you're matched with — a maximum of three — so they can contact you about quoting your project. That sharing is the entire purpose of the service, and you consent to it when you submit the form. We never sell enquiries to marketing lists, brokers or anyone else.

4. What not to put in the form

Don't include alarm codes, key locations, access arrangements or anything security-sensitive in your project description. Renovators who quote will arrange access with you directly, later, person to person.

5. How submissions travel

The form is delivered by FormSubmit, a third-party relay, to our matching inbox, then passed to matched providers. Once matched, those providers handle your details under their own privacy obligations as independent businesses.

6. Retention & deletion

Enquiries are kept while useful for matching and service quality, then deleted in periodic clean-ups. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time — reply to your confirmation or submit a request via the form — and we'll also ask matched providers to delete it.

7. Access, correction & complaints

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or complain about our handling of it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date.
