Yes — completely. You never pay renovations.at anything. Renovation businesses pay us for qualified leads; that’s the business model, stated openly. You deal with providers directly on quotes and contracts.

Up to three, from vetted providers matched to your project type and area. In regional areas or for unusual trades it can sometimes be fewer — we match for fit, not volume.

Most homeowners hear from matched renovators within 1–2 business days. Larger or structural projects usually need a site visit before a firm price, so allow a little longer for the final number.

At onboarding we check a current ABN, public-liability insurance, and licensing where the provider’s state and trades require it, plus recent references. Vetting is a strong filter, not a warranty — we still recommend sighting the licence for your specific job; your state’s building authority publishes what your project requires.

No. There’s no obligation at any point — compare the quotes, take your time, negotiate, or walk away entirely.

Only the renovators you’re matched with — a maximum of three — so they can contact you about the project. We never sell enquiries to marketing lists, and you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time (the deletion cascades to matched providers).

Never. You contract with and pay your chosen renovator directly. We recommend written quotes, a written contract for anything substantial, and staged payments in line with your state’s rules — your state’s building authority publishes guidance on both.

Quotes are each provider’s own estimate based on your description. A site visit can legitimately adjust the number — hidden damp, wiring surprises, access issues. Your final scope and price belong in the written contract you sign with the provider.

Anything from a single-room cosmetic renovation to full structural transformations, extensions and granny flats. Very small one-hour handyman jobs aren’t our sweet spot — providers quote projects, not errands.
